Senior Data Scientist

Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting both Marketing Campaign and credit card origination teams. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in advanced analytics and survey analysis. Candidates must have an advanced degree- either a Masters or PHD. Candidates can have experience with any of the following tools- SAS, R, or python. Candidates need to be able to do factor analysis.

+ Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field

+ Proficiency in one or more of the following: SAS, R, Python

+ Experience with Tableau for data visualization

+ Strong data wrangling and factor analysis capabilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Up-to-date knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools and techniques

+ Strong understanding of predictive modeling methodologies

+ Experience with structured and unstructured data

+ Proficiency in R/RStudio, Python, SAS, SQL, and NoSQL

+ Familiarity with Cloud ML technologies (e.g., AWS SageMaker) and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, caret)

+ Advanced statistical methods: Bayesian Networks, regression (linear/non-linear), hierarchical and mixed models

+ Ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences

+ Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently across multiple tasks

+ Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity and outcome-focused mindset

+ Professional presence and ability to build relationships across functions

Preferred Experience

+ Financial Services experience

+ 1–3 years of experience in machine learning, cloud computing, predictive modeling, and big data analysis

+ Experience with survey analysis is a plus

Education

+ Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related fields

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
