Operations Manager

Our Client is looking to hire an Operations Manager for their facility in Columbus Ohio! Our Client is a world leader in Forging and machining of steel components for the automotive industry!

The Operations Manager would be responsible for supervising, planning, coordinating, and executing production activities to maintain optimal output, ensure on time delivery and satisfaction.

Qualified candidates would need strong leadership skills and experience in Operations Management within a heavy manufacturing. forging, machining, or stamping background.

Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of operations including scheduling, staffing and resource allocation to meet production targets

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality

- Lead, train and develop staff to foster a high-performance culture and ensure operational excellence

- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with Quality team to resolve issues and implement corrective actions

- Be a safety champion by promoting a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and conducting regular audits and training

- Monitor key performance indicators, prepare reports, and present findings to senior leadership

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Discipline Preferred

- 5+ years of Operations Management experience

- 5-10 years of manufacturing experience

- Experience in Forging, Machining or Stamping Preferred

- Experience in Fabrication, Foundry or Welding a Plus

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Strong Organizational and Communication skills

- Strong ability to multitask

- Comfortable working with multiple groups within a business
