Group Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Accountant to join a dynamic finance team in a high-performance, project-driven environment. This role plays a critical part in overseeing group-level accounting functions, ensuring compliance, financial accuracy, and supporting operational decision-making across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities:

Group Consolidations: Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts across entities.

Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with relevant standards and internal requirements.

Stock Management: Oversee stock control processes, valuations, and reconciliations.

Forex and Treasury: Manage foreign exchange exposures, hedging strategies, and cash flow planning.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budgeting cycles and provide detailed variance analysis.

Team Collaboration: Partner with project teams and operations to support financial performance.

Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with Internal and External Auditors, ensuring audit readiness.

Leadership Reporting: Present financial results and insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education: BCom Accounting (CIMA preferred)

Experience: 810 years relevant experience in a similar group accounting role

Industry Exposure: Manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environments

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial systems, consolidation tools, and Excel

Systems: ERP experience advantageous (e.g., SAP, Syspro, and Oracle)

Other: Strong understanding of Forex, treasury, and stock management
