Weâ re looking for a Civil Draftsperson in the construction industry.

Our client is a well-regarded firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions across site development and municipal building projects. They value technical expertise, professionalism, and collaborative project delivery. The Civil Draftsperson will be responsible for preparing detailed design drawings and drafting support for a wide range of civil engineering projects, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and coordination with engineering teams and project stakeholders.

Civil Draftsperson responsibilities:

Interpret drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on engineering designs

Draft and detail civil design drawings for site grading, water supply networks, sewer systems (including lift stations), stormwater systems, fire protection systems, roads, culverts, and site servicing plans

Create contour and surface plans from survey data while ensuring material specification compliance

Support building projects through drafting of wood-frame civil components, wall assemblies, plumbing systems, sewage systems, and drainage layouts

Assist with project documentation, including drawing packages, revisions, and permit submissions

Participate in project meetings, assist with recording minutes, and support contract and invoice documentation

Contribute to tender documentation preparation as needed

Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of civil drawings in accordance with project standards

The successful candidate has:

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field

4+ years of drafting experience in civil site development and building systems

Proven experience preparing construction-ready drawings in civil and municipal projects

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Civil 3D, and Excel (Revit considered an asset)

Strong understanding of materials, specifications, and drawing standards

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Highly organized and capable of managing multiple drafting packages simultaneously

Compensation and benefits:

The discussed salary range is $100,000 â $125,000 depending on experience

Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
