Summary
Under the direction of the EHS/Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Custodian is responsible for cleaning the headquarters building including non-warehouse areas such as the Laboratory Department, Employee Resource Center and Employee Breakroom area and Employee Personnel Offices, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem as necessary.
Clean office, labs, locker rooms, toilets, and floors according to departmental procedures, to include vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, removing trash and garbage, washing windows, moving equipment dusting furniture, filling dispensers, etc.
Floor cleaning- (utilizing floor scrubber)
Cleaning beams and walls
Dusting-warehouse racking, ceiling fans, office personnel offices
Routine Maintenance-Changing lightbulbs
Monitor cleaning supplies, notifying supervisor of low inventories.
Assist with maintenance team as needed which includes but not limited to maintaining the grounds, performing snow removal and yard work as assigned.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, and assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner, etc.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Complete special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Requires a of high school diploma or GED and 1 to 2 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
