Field Engineer - IT Support (3-Month Contract)
Location: Kent (Field-based)
Contract: 3 months (Inside IR35)
Day Rate: £180/day
We’re working with a client who are seeking a proactive and reliable Field Engineer to support our IT operations across multiple sites in London. This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move and working directly with end users.
Responsibilities:
Delivering laptop refresh projects (deployment, configuration, and collection of old devices)
Supporting onboarding and offboarding of employees – ensuring laptops and peripherals are issued, configured, and returned securely
Providing first-line and basic second-line IT support on-site (troubleshooting, hardware swaps, password resets, connectivity issues)
Keeping accurate logs of all hardware movements and updates in the asset management system
Liaising with the central IT support team to escalate and resolve complex issues
Managing daily schedules to cover multiple sites efficiently
Must Have:
A full UK driving licence (travel required)
Previous experience in field-based IT support or desktop engineering
Strong working knowledge of Windows laptops, Office 365, and common IT tools
Good understanding of IT asset management processes and security protocols
Excellent communication and organisational skills – able to work independently
Flexibility to adapt to changing site requirements and priorities
