As our Senior Housing Manager through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities. We’re looking for a Senior Housing Manager who can lead our income team and drive performance across rent collection, arrears recovery and tenancy sustainment. You’ll play a key role ensuring our customers receive excellent service while meeting organisational targets.
Typical day as a Senior Housing Manager: Arrears and Income
You’ll line manage and coach our Community Housing Assistants and can take on wider leadership responsibilities, including line management of additional colleagues in the future.
Proactively managing and responding to customer queries and complaints and confident working with external stakeholders such as local authority’s, MP’s etc.
Motivate and support the Income team to achieve rent collection and arrears targets across multiple tenures.
Oversee complex arrears cases, ensuring legal and pre court protocols are followed.
Analyse arrears trends and produce performance reports for Operations Manager and implement and review income management policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and good practice.
Represent the region at national income protection groups and performance groups, contributing to the sharing and development of best practice across the sector.

You have
Have a strong background in social housing, specifically income management, performance management and understand housing law.
Experience in leading and developing teams and knowledge of housing law, welfare benefits and debt recovery processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle complex cases or sensitive situations.
A customer focused approach, committed to promoting tenancy sustainment and financial inclusion
Super organised and methodical in your approach, you’re also a proactive self-starter with a “can do” positive attitude
This job can challenge, especially when we’re dealing with complaints, but your resilience will help you through.
Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MP’s etc

This is a hybrid role
We work Monday to Friday (9 am until 5 pm) and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you’ll be able to shape your own diary.
To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
