Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with an active CA license and hospital or outpatient experience for a 13-week acute care assignment.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a hospital setting with responsibilities in both inpatient and outpatient care
Assignment length is 13 weeks with 10-hour shifts
Involves rehabilitation therapy for diverse patient populations
Main responsibilities include patient assessment, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and documentation
Role may involve providing supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants, orienting staff or students, and assuming supervisory duties when needed
Expected to participate in department performance improvement, infection control, safety, and education initiatives
Patient and family education is an essential part of the position
No COVID vaccination requirement specified for this role
Local candidates are accepted with no specified radius restriction
Requirements
Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited training program
Current CA Physical Therapy license required if applicable
BLS certification required
Minimum of 2 years experience preferred, though new graduates and Physical Therapist License Applicants (PTLA) will be considered
Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, or sub-acute settings is preferred
