Össur is seeking an ambitious, positive and solution-oriented individual to join the company’s R&D department in Reykjavík. The department is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Össur bracing and support products.

This is an exciting and diverse position within a cross-functional and international team working on the design, development and maintenance of bracing and support products – from the idea stage through to production. Special emphasis is placed on computer-aided design (CAD), prototyping, testing, and the transfer of technical data to production.

Main responsibilities:

Design and development of bracing and support products

Maintenance and improvements at all stages of development and production

Prototyping

Conducting tests

Technical management of products on the market

Preparing documentation in accordance with internal quality standards and regulations

Qualifications:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or a related field

Solid knowledge and experience in 3D design (SolidWorks)

Experience in product design is an advantage

Strong interest in innovation, design, and material selection

Excellent command of English, both written and spoken

Haldbær þekking og reynsla af þrívíddarteikningu, t.d. í SolidWorks

Reynsla af hönnunarvinnu er kostur

Brennandi áhugi á nýjungum í hönnun og efnisvali

Mjög góð enskukunnátta, bæði í rituðu og töluðu máli
