Pipe Fitter Assistants

Description Atlas Fire Security requires Assistants in their Mechanical division Must be South African, reside within a 20km radius of CPT Airport, must have sober habits, subject to drugs, medical and criminal screening SALARY: +/- R 6000 Duties and Responsibilities: · To assist with the installation and servicing of Fire suppression systems using various hand and power tools · To collect, gather, pass on to the technician, and look after the safekeeping of: all tools, equipment and stock that the technicians use.

· Assist with the collection, loading, delivery and transportation of materials required for their or another teams project between the Company’s premises, premises of suppliers and the project site.

· To ensure they fully understand each instruction given to them by their technician(s) · To listen, adhere and learn from all legitimate instructions or information from their technicians and / or management.

· To report to their technician(s) of their progress throughout the day · T learn through practice the installation of pipework and the proper use of the pipe fitters tools and pie fittings.

· To learn about the maintenance and leak finding on all systems and assist with the service, maintenance, installations, repair and test all water suppression interface equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and experience · Matric compulsory · Driver’s license compulsory · Zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol – DRUG TEST WILL BE DONE · Experience not necessary but advantageous (Has worked, taken and obeyed instructions within a team) · Should be able to use basic hand and power tools ie.
