The Role
Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known around the world for its quality dairy products. As well as being the country’s largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, plus our famous single serve butter.
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Maintenance Fitter to join our team on a casual basis. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the smooth running of our operations by performing maintenance and repairs on plant equipment. Your problem-solving mindset and commitment to safety will help us maintain a productive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
Proactively maintain mechanical equipment to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
Support production goals by servicing pumps, valves, conveyors, and dairy processing systems.
Champion safety and quality standards, including HACCP and GMP compliance.
Contribute to continuous improvement through thoughtful problem-solving and detailed maintenance records.
About you
A trade qualification (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or similar)
Experience in food or dairy manufacturing
Confidence with mechanical systems, hydraulics & fabrication
A strong eye for safety and quality (HACCP/GMP knowledge)
Bonus if you’ve used CMMS or hold extra tickets!
