Scope of Position
The Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute is committed to providing the community/region with services to support health and the treatment of cancers. The administration of Radiation Oncology works closely with clinical managers, mid-level provider and physician leadership, leaders of numerous support departments, and executive leaders at the James to guide the operations and development of the Department of Radiation Oncology.
Position Summary
The administrative Assistant 3 will assist with the planning, organization, implementation and various communications from the department of Physics. She/he will also plan and implement events hosted at and by the Department of Radiation Oncology. The administrative assistant 3 provides support for the Chief of Clinical Medical Physics, Dosimetry Manger, Rad Onc IT Dept, and works with the Human Resources Business Partner, Clinical Nurse Manger, Radiation Manger and various team leads, and support staff in cultivating collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. Additionally, he/she will assist in the initiation, financing, and completion of building/site projects in collaboration with the Technical Director. The Administrative Assistant 3 works under the general supervision of the Business Operations Manager, performing vital administrative functions that service the entire Department of Radiation Oncology. This role has ongoing collaboration with department office associates who support physician leaders, Clinical Director(s) and Managers/Assistant Managers, Patient Access Manager, Facilities Staff/Managers, Human Resources Staff/Leadership, and other James/OSUMC departments that relate directly or indirectly to essential department operations and services.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
