Job Description: Product Owner DairyNet

We are seeking a qualified individual for the role of Product Owner, responsible for defining and prioritizing features within the DairyNet environment. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders across engineering, product management, and customer-facing teams. The Product Owner serves as a central interface and must bring experience in leading modern product teams.

Responsibilities

Lead a product team focused on the DairyNet Farm Management Software

Act as the primary contact for product-related questions within the development team

Coordinate feature development in close collaboration with product managers and fellow Product Owners.

Create detailed user stories and use cases to guide our software development teams.

Develop innovative digital solutions for the global dairy farming industry

Capture and prioritize feature requests, use cases, and POC requirements in collaboration with product management and system architecture

Organize and maintain product and epic backlogs in alignment with all relevant stakeholders

Analyze product requirements, make decisions, and conduct trade-off analyses to ensure business objectives are met

Align the product roadmap with internal and external customer needs

Your Profile / Qualifications

Your Profile

University degree in Agricultural Sciences, ideally with a focus on animal sciences or livestock management

Alternatively in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

Strong knowledge of Dairy herd management and a solid understanding of the requirements of modern dairy farming

First experience leading and managing software development teams as a Product Owner for digital products is a plus, but not mandatory.

Excellent communication skills, organizational talent, and team spirit

Basic knowledge of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence is a plus

Willingness to travel internationally (<10%)
