CNC Machinist (Permanent Day Shift)
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join our well-established client based in Dudley on a full-time permanent basis.

Hours of Work
Day shift – Monday to Friday, standard hours Monday - Thursday & Friday
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience - £42,000 - £44,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties
As a CNC Machinist, your daily duties will be
Set up, program, and operate CNC Milling machines and Horizontal Borers
Carry out milling, boring, and general machining operations
Read and interpret engineering drawings, including machining symbols, tolerances, and geometric tolerances
Conduct quality checks using precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, slip gauges)
Work flexibly to support the business and complete additional duties as required
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company standards
Essential Skills
Experience with medium/large milling and boring operations
Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
Ability to check own work using precision measuring equipment
Experience working in a subcontract or precision machining environment
Completed apprenticeship in an engineering workshop, CNC Machinist training, or proven practical experience
Desirable Skills
Heidenhain programming experience preferred
Fanuc control knowledge beneficial
Training
On-the-job training will be provided to familiarise with machines and processes
Ongoing support to develop technical and machining skills
