Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an adult outpatient setting requiring an active Alaska license and at least 1 year of outpatient rehab experience.
Responsibilities
Position based in an adult outpatient rehabilitation setting
Serves a wide range of patient ages and diagnoses
Provides both evaluation and treatment for various functional conditions
Work schedule is 40 hours per week with variable shifts, Monday through Friday 7 am – 6 pm and Saturday 8 am – 1 pm
Responsible for patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of physical therapy plans of care
Directs and supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and other support staff
Attends care conferences and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
Documents clinical findings in accordance with facility policy and participates in quality assurance functions
Assists with the selection and fitting of durable medical equipment for patients
Provides patient and family education including home exercise programs to support self-management
Supports supply and clinical equipment maintenance within the department
COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but flu vaccination is required for all candidates
Requirements
Active Alaska Physical Therapist license required at time of application
Entry-level qualifying Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience and continuing education
Minimum of 1 year recent adult outpatient rehabilitation experience required
Current BLS certification required
Valid driver's license required
