We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Clinical Director
to join the team at Primrose Hill Veterinary Clinic. This is a unique opportunity to develop our primary care offering while getting exposure to one of Ireland’s leading Veterinary Ophthalmology referral clinics. You will be working closely with a clinical ophthalmology diplomat to advance the service.
Overview of Role
As an experienced veterinary surgeon and leader, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the clinical activities and financial performance within the business, comprising of 19 people, in conjunction with your practice manager, lead nurse and head of region ROI.
Key responsibilities
Day to day management of some key responsibilities
Oversee clinical standards and quality
Lead the vet team
Ensure highest levels of patient and client care.
Lead and line manage the senior leadership team facilitating an environment of respect, collaboration and engagement while maintaining a no blame, safety culture
Budget planning and delivery of financial targets
Person Specification
Experience
Essential: 5 years + experience as a veterinary clinician. 2-3 years experience in a leadership role. Managing a budget. Clinical Leadership. Experience in coaching and mentoring.
Desirable: Leadership experience in a multi-discipline practice. 10 years of MVB experience. Practice Standards Scheme/Patient safety event reporting and reviewing.
Knowledge
Essential: Client experience (client relationship skills and complaint resolution). Clinical standards. Team engagement and leadership. Financial and Management KPIs.
Desirable: Marketing/public relations.
Skills and Abilities
Essential: Developing others. Setting strategy. Coaching/mentoring. Budget setting. KPIs. IT. Excellent communication skills. Ability to lead change.
