Multiple full-time (100%), permanent positions available

Base salary will be in the range $114,824.05 - $136,048.72 + 17% Superannuation for Academic Level B; or in the range $140,293.64 - $161,518.33 + 17% Superannuation for Academic Level C

About This Opportunity

Join the Marketing discipline in the UQ Business School and play a key role in educating future generations as a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Marketing and/or Business Analytics. The Marketing discipline is home to a vibrant, highly active and productive research group, with scholars who regularly publish in leading Marketing journals and related fields. We currently have multiple opportunities to join the team and guide teaching and research across the discipline.

In this role, you will collaborate internally and externally with academics and industry to achieve research outcomes and translate knowledge into practical application. At this level it also expected that you will contribute to service and engagement roles and activities and will demonstrate behaviours that align with UQ Values.

Key responsibilities will include:

Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.

Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.

Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.

Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You

Completion of a PhD in the discipline area of marketing (or in a discipline area directly related).

An established profile in teaching and research in the discipline area.

National recognition in the area of expertise, with an internationally developing profile and an established record of publications in reputed refereed journal and presenting at conferences.

A strong record of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.

Evidence of a high level of quality teaching at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large groups.

A strong track record of course coordination and participation in the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area.

A solid record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.

A growing record of meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with a strong contribution to external activities.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check etc.
