Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collect and verify data: Gather and verify timekeeping data from various departments, resolving any discrepancies with employees and supervisors.
• Financial reporting: Assist with preparing financial and fiscal reports, statements, and other financial records.
• Payroll: Process payroll, prepare periodic payroll reports for management and accounting.
• Accounting: Reconcile payroll-related transactions to the general ledger.
• Calculate deductions: Accurately calculate and apply payroll deductions, such as federal and state taxes, insurance, and retirement savings.
• Compliance: Ensure that financial activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Manage records: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes to tax status or benefits.
• Ensure compliance: Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure the company's payroll practices are compliant with federal and state requirements.
• Resolve inquiries: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
• Assist with audits: Support internal and external audits related to payroll by providing necessary documentation and information.
• General office support: Perform general office duties such as filing financial records, answering telephones, and handling correspondence.
