Job Description Summary
The Blackboard Support Coordinator assists the Blackboard Administrator with the technical and operational deployment, ongoing change management, and administration of the SSU enterprise-wide learning management system (Blackboard). Provide first-tier support by troubleshooting problems reported by faculty, staff, and students while using Blackboard LMS and other learning technologies. Provides university-wide support relative to the Learning Management System (Blackboard).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learning Management System (Blackboard) System Administration
Assist the Blackboard administrator in testing system upgrades and communications to users.
Assist in creating/removing users, modifying user security settings, creating/managing security roles.
Remain current on new Blackboard updates, features and changes.
Faculty & Student Support
Assist faculty & students with technical issues.
Troubleshoot OS, internet browsers, and internet-security software issues to assist faculty & students is resolving compatibility issues.
Escalate tickets to Blackboard Support in the Blackboard Administrator's absence.
Create base courses & provide content copy per faculty requests & support online 3rd party staff by providing appropriate access and assistance.
Blackboard User Education and Training
Assist in distributing training tips and resources with faculty & students.
Provide training for faculty in utilizing best practice, instructional design methodologies.
Assist in creating content and training materials for faculty & students as needed.
Minimum Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience working in a Learning Management System.
Communication skills, both verbal and written.
Outstanding problem-solving skills.
The ability to continue to learn in a technical and professional capacity.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, Information Technology; Information Security, Business, or Education
One year of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with remote user support ie Teams, Collaborate, Zoom etc.
Familiarity with MicroSoft Office products
Excellent computer skills
