Mistral Inc. is looking for a dynamic Subcontractor - Quality Manager to support our expanding network of subcontract manufactures and suppliers for our expanding Defense and Homeland Security product lines. Additionally, the Subcontractor - Quality Manager - will provide support to our manufacturing and production plant in Nottingham, MD.

Reports to the Quality Control Manager.

Primary responsibilities:

Ensure subcontractor/s compliance with contractual requirements of the SOW and performance specifications.

Inspect and verify all equipment at source. Generate reports during or post inspections for management review. Collect all documentation in support of inspections and archive appropriately. Significant domestic travel.

Maintain failure reporting analysis and corrective action system for equipment and process reliability that includes requirements for reporting, analyzing and correcting system failures.

Maintain and document any requests for variance of temporary departure from the product baseline.

Maintain and document all engineering change proposals and dispositions.

Duties include, but, are not limited to:

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality vision and direction as an active member of the quality staff.

Daily Quality activities include control of non-conforming parts, Quality inspection/s and traceability records, Measurement Systems, and lot inspection & approval for the Mistral Group subcontractors.

Assisting with product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; Investigating customer complaints; Collaborating with the Quality Control Manager and other members of management to develop new manufacturing & training methods.

Ensure subcontractors adhere to specifications; As required, manage the deviation process until specifications on issues are resolved.

Assist with compliance assurance to Mistral Process and Procedures

Support supplier corrective action and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with Purchasing and Corporate Quality for key suppliers.

Maintain effective communications on operational issues, systems status, performance measures, and risks to the company and its customers.

Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Control Manager and Management.
