QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Complete Manager Pathway and Culinary Pathway within 5 years and take additional to maintain certification and for professional growth
Current Serv-Safe certification
Experience with computers, word processing, email, and cashiering procedures
Able to complete math calculations and general recordkeeping.
Pleasant personality and ability to work with children and school staff in a tactful, friendly, and professional manner
Knowledge of standards of food preparation, serving, and sanitation procedures (HAACP)
Cooperative and open-minded attitude; willing to accept direction, able to motivate others
Ability to organize, delegate, and supervise when needed
Prior experience in food service
Active participation in local GSNA chapter
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

JOB GOAL: To supervise school nutrition employees and oversee the nutrition program at the school level.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage the local school food service operation.
Responsibilities include nutrition and menu planning; program accountability; sanitation, safety, and security; equipment use and care; procurement; food production; food acceptability; service; financial management and recordkeeping; marketing; personnel management; and professional development.
Partner with others in the local school, school district, and community to solicit support for the development of a sound nutrition assistance food program while following federal, state, and local guidelines.
Provide an environment that supports healthy food habits while maintaining program integrity and customer satisfaction.
Willingness to relocate as necessary.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nutrition & Wellness, Principal, or designee.
