Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production quality.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in production equipment.

Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.

Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as required.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance activities.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.

Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing setting.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Experience with food manufacturing machinery is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
