Job Summary

A Workshop Team Leader at CDW UK is responsible for leading, driving, developing and supporting a team of Workshop Technicians, within a fast paced, highly dynamic environment. High standards are required to ensure our products are processed and Repaired to a high standard and received by our customers’ right first time, on time. Team leaders will be accountable for ensuring processes are followed, reviewed, improved and amended where possible

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

What you will do

To lead and drive a team of Workshop Technicians, responsible for the motivation and morale of that team.

Allocation of workload, always aware of priorities and urgent requirements.

Scheduling project work to ensure correct expectations are set and timescales are met.

Ensuring that housekeeping standards are kept to a high level at all times

Responsible for ensuring a team within the Workshop is at all times working in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Helping to ensure accurate and efficient processes are created and followed.

Ensuring that the Department and Team are continuously developed and promoted in line with the company’s vision for the future

Establishing and maintaining excellent internal and external service levels whilst constantly identifying improvements areas.

Investigation and remediation of issues and process failures, the priority being customer expectations.

Identifying skills gaps and reporting them to the Breakfix Supervisor and working to ensure gaps are filled and training is completed and signed off according to the defined processes.

Occasional 1 to 1 meetings with Co-workers.

Assisting and supporting in PMP progression.

Must posses a proactive approach to problem solving at root cause, with a can do attitude

Multi-functional team player experienced in all aspects of general team work

A good understanding of CDW as a business and its goals and visions for the future

PC, laptop and printer hardware repair experience.

Experience in fault finding and repairing of point of sale equipment.

Previous experience within a workshop environment is essential.

Proven analytical skills and the ability to solve problems and feedback to others and ability to share knowledge with others to aid team development

Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry and help communicate to the wider team

Ability to show flexibility to help the changing needs of the department

Be an excellent communicator with an eye for detail.

Be able to work effectively in a high pressure team environment

Show enthusiasm of your work and of both coaching and mentoring

Be motivated and be able to maintain required workload with minimal supervision.

Preferred skills, experience, and qualities needed

3 years hardware break fix experience

Experience repairing and fault finding J2, Aures and POS.

HP, laptop, desktop and workstation accreditation

Lenovo, laptop, desktop and workstation accreditation
