Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for executing the build as represented in the build prints and per the customer requirements
Will calculate the unspecified dimensions along with laying out designs using various materials
Will establish and coordinate reference points and tooling holes by using straightedges and measuring
Lead a team that fits and assembles tooling components for Aerospace customers
Does repairs and rework on tools as needed
Will draw and prepare sketches for the fabrication department as needed
May need to operate machines including lathes, Bridgeports, lathes and grinders as needed
Additional job duties as assigned
Skills and Competencies:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Fixture builder in the Aerospace industry.
Knowledge of geometric tolerances
Experience with Catia V5 and Enovia a plus
Able to read and understand blueprints
Good math, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization and follow up skills
Must understand deadlines and how they impact the overall business
Experience with ISO 9001 and AS91000 Quality standards desired
High School Diploma or equivalent
