WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for that special someone to fill our Chief Deputy Treasurer position. If you love all aspects of taxes, then we have a position for you!
Here are experiences and skills we are looking for:
· High school diploma, preferably supplemented with college accounting or bookkeeping coursework; and
· Two (2) years administrative accounting or financial experience, or 2 years related experience performing functions of the Treasurer’s Office, or
· Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this job.
THE OPPORTUNITY: Chief Deputy Treasurer
The Chief Deputy Treasurer position is involved in many aspects relating to County taxes. Here are a few opportunities waiting for you:
· Supervise, train, and manage deputy treasurers. Perform the Treasurer’s duties in that official’s absence;
· Process tax payments by County tax payers. Assist Treasurer with the Tax Drive process;
· Process pre-payments and issue refunds on overpayments;
· Process cancellations and reversals as directed by the Treasurer;
· Prepare monthly turnover report of all tax payments received;
· Distribute monthly tax roll report to mortgage lenders;
· Coordinate with mortgage lenders to update their files and process bulk payments from lenders to county records;
· Provide customer service the Teton County way!
This position reports to the Treasurer.
