Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele role in Ohio with Epic and IV start skills required. Responsibilities

Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 27-bed capacity

Patient diagnoses include nephrology, urology (surgical and non-surgical), benign hematology, and general med/surg cases

Estimated nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5

Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 7:30

No call required

Floating to different units within the organization is required

Epic EMR experience is required

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care to med/surg telemetry patients with diverse diagnoses

First-time travelers will be considered if requirements are met

Locals are accepted at the same pay rate

All time off requests must be submitted with contract consideration

Former employees must be separated from facility for at least 6 months to be eligible

Current employees at Ohio State University hospitals are not eligible for traveler positions

Urgent fingerprinting required after booking, with specific instructions provided

Holiday coverage may be required according to unit needs Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration

Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Proficiency in IV starting, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate care skills required

Epic charting experience required

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Two professional references required, with at least one from management or a leadership role

Previous travel nursing experience preferred Benefits
