Overview
Seeking an experienced Oncology RN (Chemo Certified) for the Bone Marrow Transplant units at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This role involves caring for oncology and hematology patients undergoing stem cell transplants and advanced cancer therapies in a teaching hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to oncology, hematology, and bone marrow transplant patients
Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and manage central lines and ports
Monitor and interpret telemetry and lab results, reporting abnormalities promptly
Implement and reinforce infection prevention and safety protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient-centered care
Document care accurately using Epic EMR
Requirements
Active RN License: Ohio or Compact State
Experience: Minimum 2 years Oncology / BMT required (1 year Hematology/Oncology minimum)
Certifications Required: BLS, Chemo Certification (ONS/ONCC)
Preferred Certifications: ACLS
Travel Experience: Not required
EMR Experience: Epic (Required)
Float Requirement: To other Med-Surg Oncology units as needed
Weekend Requirement: Variable, based on unit needs
RTO Policy: Max 7 days total; no RTO first 2 weeks

Common Diagnoses: Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Aplastic Anemia, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Hodgkin’s & Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Special Procedures: Autologous, Syngeneic & Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplants, CAR-T Therapy
