JOB DESCRIPTION:

Fraud Analyst

Location – Spain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Fraud Analyst. This role is responsible for the daily analysis of potential fraud risks, managing the end-to-end fraud protocol, and minimizing fraud-related costs while supporting our clients and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of online payments and fraud detection, and will play a key role in identifying fraudulent bookings, payments, and illegitimate activities by fake hotels or hoteliers.

Responsibilities:

Detect fraud by analyzing suspicious bookings, payments, and hotelier activities.

Reduce fraud costs by managing the end-to-end fraud protocol with internal and external stakeholders.

Update client payment performance through daily reporting and account reviews.

Optimize the chargeback process by analyzing, preparing, and handling daily disputes.

Improve fraud visibility and awareness by reporting key figures and trends.

Skillset and Experience Required:

Experience: Minimum 2 years in online payments and fraud, or 3 years of seniority within HB.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of online payments and fraud detection.

Analytical Skills: High attention to detail, strong conceptual thinking, and experience with tools like Excel and Tableau.

Risk Management: Appreciation of risk and ability to assess and mitigate it effectively.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Initiative: Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including weekends (rota-based).

Judgment: High sense of judgment and a sharp eye for detail.

Attitude: Positive, solution-oriented, and committed to high work ethics.
