Demand Planner & Supply Coordinator (m/f/d)
The Consumer Health division of Bayer S.p.A. is looking for a passionate and motivated Demand Planner & Supply Coordinator to join the team.
He/she will play an active part in managing the forecast process for defined countries by contributing to commercial insights development and integrating the business plan into the S&OP process to build a consensus forecast.
The role has overall responsibility for ensuring the robustness of content and consistency in execution, driving alignment of the financial and operational business plans, and facilitating continuous improvement of the process in alignment with global standards.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support building the consensus demand forecasts for all Consumer Health (CH) products.
Prepare and study consolidated unconstrained demand forecast suggestions before demand review meetings using historical data, market insights from company databases or dashboards, and statistical forecasts as input.
Use statistical demand planning digital tools as an advanced user and regularly perform system maintenance and monthly data updates.
Prepare and facilitate the demand review process, fostering consensus between Marketing, Sales, Trade Marketing, Business Intelligence, Finance, and Product Supply.
Challenge volume and value forecasts using analytics of historical developments, market trends, and up-to-date market insights.
Run scenario planning by defining supply risks with the product supply team and discussing how to manage gaps or fill them with other available products.
Identify demand risks and opportunities based on refreshed market insights.
Ensure the rolling 12-month consensus demand forecast at SKU level and the long-term (36–60 month) aggregated forecast for strategic exercises, such as financial budgeting.
Identify gaps and changes versus the last cycle after demand reviews.
Participate in S&OP meetings and share the holistic demand planning picture with the country commercial head and other commercial stakeholders; escalate points or open discussions on necessary actions.
Performance Management
Enhance forecast quality by tracking major demand planning KPIs (FCA, BIAS, statistical forecast usage, write-offs, inventory, CFR) and monitoring global dashboards.
Guide stock allocation decisions for supply bottlenecks by comparing forecast data by SKU, customer, channel, and country.
Monitor expiry dates and develop mitigation actions with commercial teams to minimize write-off risks.
Actively support product launches and phase-outs by participating in launch meetings and providing forecasts including pipefill and phase-out activities.
SCM Operations
Manage requests for creating and maintaining SKUs and promotional materials.
Work closely with local Business Partner to follow local repackaging activities in adequate informatic tools.
Oversee internal transfers and balance stock across warehouses to ensure a smooth delivery to our customers.
Drive continuous improvement by collaborating with Business Partners to maintain high service standards in line with company guidelines and building strong partnerships to ensure business continuity
WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain or related fields is preferred
At least 3 years in a Demand Planning or Supply Chain role
Strong understanding of demand consensus and best-in-class forecasting processes, with the ability to see the big picture while diving into details.
Result-oriented, highly motivated, and structured professional with excellent analytical and strategic skills, capable of handling large data sets, identifying patterns, and driving actions.
Effective communicator with strong written and oral skills, able to facilitate information flow across internal and external partners, including senior leadership.
Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments, demonstrating proactivity, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills even under stressful situations.
Excellent knowledge of Office applications with a strong digital mindset and good proficiency in digital tools such as SAP, Tableau, Analysis for Office, OMP, etc
Residence or domicile in Lombardy
Fluent knowledge of English and Italian mother tongue
