JOB DESCRIPTION:
We're looking for a reliable and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team in Elmont. As a line cook, you’ll play a key role in preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. From prepping ingredients to executing dishes with consistency, you’ll help keep service running smoothly and our customers happy.
REPORTS TO: Kitchen Manager
LOCATION: The Elmont
Pay / GRADE LEVEL: Hourly / Non-Exempt
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen during and after shifts
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Adapt to daily prep and service needs based on volume
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferred
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Must be dependable and punctual
Food Handler’s Certification is a plus (or willing to obtain)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is typically performed in the resort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to 50 lbs.Requirements:
