The Role
Sofina Foods is currently seeking reliable, motivated General Operatives to join our team at our Tullamore site. As a General Operative, you’ll play a vital part in our production process—supporting the delivery of high-quality meat products to customers across the globe.
Whether you’re packing, preparing, or ensuring hygiene standards are met, this role is essential to the smooth and efficient running of our operations. It’s also a great entry point into a company that values its people and provides real opportunities for development.
Hours of Work:
12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, on a two-week rotating schedule:
Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Salary
€13.60 per hour

Your Key Responsibilities
As a General Operative, you will:
Assist in the preparation and packaging of food products in line with quality and safety standards
Work collaboratively with your team to meet production targets and ensure efficiency
Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards within your work area
Be flexible with shift patterns and ready to support overtime when required
Support the delivery of consistent product quality with care and attention to detail
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in manufacturing is highly desirable
Good organisational skills
Strong work ethic
Teamwork and positive interpersonal skills
An eye for detail, quality focused and results orientated
Flexibility to work both day and evening shifts and to be available to work overtime if required.
