Journeyman Carpenter

Job Overview

As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of construction sites. This position requires hands-on experience and the ability to complete a variety of tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Install safety and functional items at job sites, such as safety rails and temporary enclosures.

Construct planning tables to assist in project management.

Display safety signs prominently around job sites.

Address any safety hazards by covering holes or open areas.

Mount Smartboards and TVs in job site trailers to enhance communication and planning.

Install shelving in job site trailers for organized storage.

Report any safety incidents or injuries to the Foreperson and Safety Leader.

Collaborate with management to plan, document, and approve additional scope of work as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience or equivalent education and experience.

OSHA 10-hour certification is recommended; support for obtaining certification may be provided.

Documentation of relevant certifications and degrees required upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Fundamental understanding of construction principles and procedures.

Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and adapt to extreme weather conditions.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
