12-hour night shifts. Requirements include working 2 of 3 weekends per month based on unit need.
Job Description
The Med Surg Orthopedic RN position involves providing nursing care in an orthopedic and general medical setting, with an emphasis on orthopedic cases (60% ortho, 40% general medical). Assignments will conclude on Saturdays, and orientations are held bi-weekly on Mondays.
Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care for patients on a medical-surgical orthopedic unit.
Collaborate with the medical team to provide high-quality patient care.
Ensure proper administration of medications and treatments as prescribed.
Assist in the coordination of patient assessments and care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a similar role.
Active Virginia or Compact license required upon start.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Previous travel experience is required.
All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.
