About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our network of therapy professionals. Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR).
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ functional abilities, coordination, and participation in meaningful activities.
Guide and motivate patients through therapeutic exercises and adaptive activities.
Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes and observations to the supervising OTR.
Educate patients, caregivers, and families on therapeutic techniques, home programs, and adaptive strategies.
Ensure all documentation meets professional, legal, and facility standards.
Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (or eligibility) in the state of South Dakota.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
