Job Description
Locations: Fayetteville (Cumberland County) & Carthage (Moore County)
Position: Full-Time, In-Person
About Us
The Hardin Law Firm, PLLC is a well-established family law firm known for its integrity, professionalism, and results-driven advocacy. We guide clients through some of life’s most difficult moments — divorce, custody disputes, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution matters — with skill, compassion, and strength.
We are seeking trustworthy, dependable, and hard-working individuals to join our team as Associate Attorneys. We maintain a professional, client-centered environment where high standards are the rule, not the exception.
The Role
This is a full-time family law position requiring a strong work ethic, courtroom confidence, and a genuine commitment to this area of practice — not just a job search. You’ll represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution. There will also be some carry-over into defending related domestic violence and criminal law matters.
You’ll be working directly with clients who are often experiencing the most challenging times in their lives. This role requires patience, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in high-conflict litigation. It is not for the faint of heart, but for the right attorney, it’s an incredibly rewarding and meaningful practice.
Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
Minimum three (3) years of experience, with significant family law and litigation exposure
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Dependable, organized, and proactive in managing deadlines and client expectations
Professional demeanor and appearance at all times — you will wear a suit to court, regardless of what the other lawyers are wearing
Genuine passion for family law — this position is for those committed to the practice, not those simply seeking employment
How to Apply
If you’re ready to bring professionalism, integrity, and hard work to a rewarding family law practice, we’d love to hear from you.
Please send your resume and cover letter.
In your cover letter, tell us about your experience in litigation and why family law is where you’ve chosen to build your career.
