As an intern for HIG PSE IE Management, you will be part of the HIG PSE IE team in managing and optimizing the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) sample workflow, with a focus on data analytics and dashboard development. This role offers hands-on experience in semiconductor sample logistics, process documentation, and business intelligence. The intern will collaborate with engineering, planning, and operations teams to drive improvements in workflow efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Project Scope:

HBM Sample Management Operations

Mapping and documenting the end-to-end HBM sample workflow (die bank, probe, test, shipment).

Tracking and disposition of remnant lots using MES and SAP systems.

Observe and report on manual operations such as wafer flipping, kitting, and tagging.

Data Analytics & Dashboard Building

Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from sample management processes.

Develop interactive dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) for WIP tracking, risk monitoring, and performance analytics.

Automate data pipelines and reporting using Python, SQL, or Power Automate.

Process Improvement & Documentation

Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose process enhancements.

Prepare clear documentation and visual guides for sample management procedures.

Summarize findings and present recommendations to stakeholders.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with planners, engineers, and IT teams to understand system integrations and operational handoffs.

Participate in meetings and contribute to team discussions on process optimization and analytics.

Project Description

Map and document the full HBM sample flow: Die Bank Probe Test FG Shipment.

•Analyze MES and SAP transitions, including FG08 to SHOP and MAM handoffs.

•Study remnant control strategies using Power BI dashboards for Q-time and risk monitoring.

•Observe manual operations such as wafer flipping, kitting, and tagging in MAM.

•Understand probe flow logic including C3/C4 re-ship SOP and fuse blow operations.

•QA routing and disposition tracking for lots tagged with QA attributes.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL).

Interest in semiconductor manufacturing, workflow optimization, and business intelligence.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.
