Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and nurture relationships with customers and technology partners to grow Supermicro’s data center and vertical market business.
Develop positioning statements, marketing and sales training materials, and detailed product specifications.
Deliver technical training to internal sales teams and external stakeholders.
Work independently to research, resolve technical issues, and troubleshoot complex problems.
Analyze customer requirements to ensure products meet specifications and expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to duplicate and debug technical issues, driving them to resolution.
Assist Senior Solution Managers in developing proposals that meet customer needs.
Manage technical aspects of RFPs/RFIs and support sales teams in crafting responses.
Conduct competitive analysis and cultivate an ecosystem with industry partners.
Plan and oversee project delivery, ensuring smooth transitions from pre-sales to post-sales phases.
Provide third-level technical support for critical support situations, offering both pre-sales and post-sales assistance.
Coordinate and manage resources for Proof of Concept (POC) testing and solution validation.
Lead project implementations and ensure successful system delivery at client sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a technical product manager or similar role.
Strong expertise in servers, data centers, virtualization, and software-defined storage; familiarity with AI, CUDA, and GPU technologies is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Exceptional organizational and planning skills with a focus on achieving objectives.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Hands-on experience with functional and compatibility testing across various operating systems (e.g., Linux: RedHat, Ubuntu; VMware; Windows).
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including POC testing and tender implementation.
Knowledge in solution design (HW + SW integration) and technical consultancy is required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Technical consultancy and POC expertise.
Familiarity with delivering solutions and systems at client sites.
