Description
The Maintenance Technician will attend to machinery at the Terminal located in San Juan, Puerto Rico and ensure all equipment is in good working order and be proactive in fixing potential problems to ensure production goals are met. The maintenance technician role is 24/7 to ensure services are always available as breakdowns can arise at any time. This role will require physical demands such as moving around, lifting boxes and equipment, and standing for prolonged periods.
Responsibilities
• Extensive experience in prioritizing and organizing work activities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within set deadlines and timelines
• Perform daily activities to document equipment records into systems and making administrative and procedural decisions to complete project tasks within set timeframes
• Understand, use and develop the computerized maintenance system (Fiix) and promote its use. Implement and monitor the work planning and coordination system
• Manage the spare parts inventory and prepare list of materials and components not normally held on site for future scheduled maintenance
• Assist the Maintenance Manager to identify critical points and suggest modifications to extend equipment life and reduce maintenance costs
• Utilize hydraulic and pneumatic devices to manage hydraulic and pneumatic systems for multiple assigned projects in an effective and efficient manner
• Develop repair and maintenance programs to create high productivity and quality, while making improvement plans for production efficiency to meet appropriate performance standards
• Able to perform machine and equipment maintenance, execute work orders, troubleshoot & repair and install new machines
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the shift teams and maintain communications with them during day to day terminal operations
• Other responsibilities as directed by the company
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5+ years similar experience in a process plant or like terminal
• Degree in engineering, and/or equivalent experience required
• Display extensive maintenance experience for rotative equipment, such as pumps and compressors, pressure vessels, critical and non-critical valves and other applicable ancillary equipment
• Deep knowledge of repair and maintenance activities, organizational standard procedures and electrical control wiring and hydraulic and electrical processes and systems
• Knowledgeable of operating E-Maintenance systems, electrical and electronics and parametric and industrial control systems
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
