Description
We are seeking an Asset Management Engineer to be based in the company's San Juan terminal. We are entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.
Through this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operations of a warehouse, including inventory management, order processing, and logistics coordination.
Responsibilities
Troubleshooting plant equipment/ Continuous Improvement:
Support Maintenance in troubleshooting and coming up with repair recommendations.
Write Maintenance procedures.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends and technology to improve operations.
Inventory Management:
Select Spare parts based on criticality.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular counts and reconciliation.
Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed to prevent stockouts.
Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage or spoilage.
Order Processing/Procurement
Requests quotes/proposals to vendors as per current DOA guideline
Generates requisitions for Purchase Orders approvals by the Terminal Manager
Follow up on vendors to define lead times and ensure goods are received as per proposal timelines
Ordering parts/components
Receive and process incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling.
Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Warehouse Organization:
Organize and optimize warehouse space for efficient storage and retrieval.
Implement safety procedures and guidelines for warehouse staff.
Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Quality Control:
Inspect incoming and outgoing products for quality and accuracy.
Report and address any discrepancies or damaged goods.
Implement quality control measures as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain asset data in the company CMMS system.
Review repairs and advise on strategy.
Update the Preventative Maintenance plan and create detailed (inspection) task lists.
Update documentation (As-Built).
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments.
Generate reports on warehouse activities, such as inventory levels, order status, and performance metrics.
Communicate inventory shortages or issues to management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience in Maintenance Engineering or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse software.
Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.
