Assistant Cook

Assisting with the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and meats according to recipes and portion sizes.

Helping to assemble ingredients and components of dishes, such as sauces, marinades, and dressings, under the guidance of the head chef or line cooks

Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including cleaning workstations, equipment, and utensils, as well as disposing of kitchen waste and recycling materials properly.

Assisting with the care and maintenance of kitchen equipment and appliances, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, greasing pans, and ensuring that equipment is in proper working condition.

Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of food items to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations

Following recipes and instructions provided by the head chef or kitchen supervisor to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
