About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with a well-established organization seeking a File Clerk to assist with an internal audit and document management project. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and process improvement in a collaborative office environment.
Job Description: The File Clerk will play an essential role in a compliance-focused project, reviewing customer records and ensuring each file contains the correct exemption documentation. This individual will manage both physical and digital files, work with internal teams to address missing information, and maintain a detailed log of progress throughout the audit.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and organize a large volume of customer records to verify exemption documentation.
Ensure all files are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policies.
Maintain and update digital and physical filing systems for quick retrieval.
Collaborate with accounting and compliance teams to resolve missing or incomplete records.
Track audit progress, noting reviewed files and outstanding items.
Handle confidential data responsibly and maintain data integrity.
Perform related clerical duties including scanning, labeling, and indexing documents.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a file clerk, data entry, or administrative role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Beginner-level Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
Experience working in ERP or database systems (Epicor P21 experience a plus).
Ability to manage large workloads accurately and meet project deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, common-sense approach to tasks.
Additional Details:
Full-time, on-site position (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.)
Casual, collaborative, and diverse office environment.
Project-based contract role starting mid-October, with potential for extension.
