About the Unit

In recent years Yara has been growing and acquiring an important position in the Latin America fertilizer market and actively supporting the development of sustainable, productive and profitable agriculture for different crops.

We are seeking a results-driven professional with strong analytical capabilities and extensive experience in high-value negotiations as Projects, Technical Equipments and Maintenance Services. The ideal candidate excels in managing complex negotiations, ensuring full compliance with corporate standards, collaborating with stakeholders and driving supplier development initiatives. This role requires a strategic mindset to optimize procurement execution, strengthen supplier relationships, and deliver impactful business results.

Responsibilities

This role ensures regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, governance excellence, and continuous optimization of Procurement processes in high value categories such as, Digital Tecnology, Maintenance Services and Technical Equipment contracts. The role serves as a key liaison by leading negotiations, executing contract management, collaborating with stakeholders, developing suppliers, and promoting improvements initiatives.

Strategy & Compliance

- Centralize and execute all procurement requirements for goods and services.

- Ensure compliance with quality, quantity, and delivery timelines.

- Follow Yara’s Procurement Directive and Global Operating Model.

- Ensure adherence to the Authorization Matrix.

- Comply with Yara’s IDD and Anti-Corruption practices.

Supplier & Contract Management

- Manage contracts for services and software, including negotiation, administration, and closure.

- Lead local supplier negotiations to meet purchase requisitons requirements.

- Disseminate procurement policies and procedures across the business unit to ensure alignment.

Optimization & Due Diligence

- Analyze suppliers to select the best options in terms of transparency, support, and total cost of ownership.

- Conduct supplier due diligence and ensure delivery of Yara’s Code of Conduct.

- Align financial commitments with the finance function and set service orders in ERP systems according to negotiated terms.

- Collaborate with stakeholders giving solutions aligned to their needs and objectives.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

- Develop a framework to monitor procurement activities (cost, customer satisfaction, supplier reliability).

- Establish and achieve standardized KPIs.

- Update Power BI reports and improve IP LATAM performance.

Governance & Operational Excellence

- Lead governance processes, sustainability efforts, KPI analysis, and digital tool usage (SAP, CMS, PESS, Power BI).

- Act as the regional point of contact for global procurement initiatives.

- Support internal and external audits.

Profile

Education:

Degree in Business Administration, Economy, Finance or Engineering.

Work Experience:

5 years of Procurement experience preferable in OPEX/CAPEX (Maintenance) and Logistics.

Knowledge and skills:

- Fluent spoken and written English.

- Commercial mindset with influencing, negotiating and contracting skills

- Leadership and communication: create alignment and impact across the organization

- Flexibility and willingness to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams

- Orientation to process and process improvements

- Ability to drive change and to maintain a high level of trust from stakeholders

- Strong Communication Skills.

- Analytical thinking, strategic problem solving capabilities and result oriented mindset

- High integrity and ethical standards

- Good familiarity with Commercial contract law

- Strong negotiation skills, result oriented, analytical & combining conceptual insight with hands-on approach;

- Core behavioral competences: take responsibility, adaptive leadership skills, open-minded make the right decisions, walk the talk, improve and grow, work together, communicate well.
