Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of PET/CT experience and current BLS, ARRT, NMTCB, and state licensure.
Responsibilities
Outpatient and inpatient setting in the Nuclear Medicine department
Performs 33 PET/CT scans per day on average
Scans include whole body FDG PET/CT, brain PET imaging, limited cardiac PET, and neuroendocrine imaging
Majority of cases involve oncologic diagnosis
Utilizes 2 PET/CT scanners and PACS system
Day shift schedule: five 8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30, 8:30–17:00, 9:30–18:00, or 10:30–19:00)
Two professional references are required, including at least one from a supervisor or formal leader
Former employees must have a 6-month break before returning on a travel assignment
Current employees are not eligible for travel contracts at this location
Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
Candidates must wear grey scrubs; scrubs are not provided
All time off must be requested prior to contract start and built into the contract
Fingerprinting for Ohio is required and must be completed promptly after booking
Candidates must be responsive and cooperative during the credentialing process to avoid delays
Requirements
Current BLS, ARRT, NMTCB, and applicable state license required
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in PET, cardiac, brain scan, and tumor localization
Experience in both outpatient and inpatient nuclear medicine required
Proficiency in IV starts and use of PACS system
Ability to perform PET/CT procedures for oncologic, cardiac, neurological, and neuroendocrine indications
License required if applicable
