The role
As a Storekeeper, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, supporting the Royal Navy by ensuring critical supplies are received, stored and dispatched efficiently. This is more than just a warehouse role – it’s a chance to contribute to national defence while building a long-term career in logistics and engineering support.
Day-to-day, you’ll be part of our Naval Nuclear Devonport business unit, working within a dedicated warehouse and logistics team that plays a vital role in keeping naval operations running smoothly. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience, professional development and the opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications.
Receiving and verifying incoming shipments
Preparing and dispatching outgoing items
Managing inventory and stock levels
Operating manual handling equipment safely
Collaborating with your team to meet operational goals
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Storekeeper
Previous experience in a warehousing or logistics environment
Familiarity with inventory management systems
Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting
Qualifications for the Storekeeper
Forklift truck training (existing or willingness to undertake)
Driving licence highly preferred, though not essential
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
