Programme Manager – Norway T26 Fleet Integration

We currently have an opportunity for a Programme Manager – Norway T26 Fleet Integration.

As Programme Manager – Norway T26 Fleet Integration you will leverage the wider Norway agreement between UK and Norway G2G, for Combat Systems addressing opportunities into the UK RN operational fleet.

You will be required now with kick off workshops being held with Kongsberg where you will cultivate these opportunities which are part of the Offset agreement between the UK and Norway and deliver to continue wider growth across Norway for Combat Systems products and services.

This programme of work is expected to be highly complex from strategy definition, capture, bid and execution, but also the technical solution, delivery team make up – drawing multi-site and functional teams, Offset and Export implications.

Core duties are:

(a) Full accountability for bid and delivering programme of work.

(b) Financial accountability for the full contract value (expected to initially be £75m but opportunity to grow) – aligned to BAE Systems CAM R&R.

(c) Ensuring essential procedures are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management.

(d) Exercising full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions.

(e) Senior Customer engagement to provide a coherent response across the company.

Your main responsibilities as Programme Manager – Norway T26 Fleet Integration:

· Be Accountable for the budget, performance and results of the team.

· Ensure essential procedures are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management. May formulate policies and processes within own area.

· Adapt own project plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

· Exercise full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions.

LCM Responsibilities:

· Propose Tailoring for Project by 1B* if no Capture Manager is in post.

· Select a Phase Review Chair where Gate Reviews are being proposed.

· Produce a tailoring statement and propose for review by Chair (where applicable) and approval by PMA and EA, use the Tailoring Statement to support leading the project (including Bids) and keep up to date*.

· Prepare for all LCM reviews and ensure they are carried out iaw the approved tailoring statement for all Phases of the Delivery and Closure Stages (Phases 2C to 8).

· Selects Phase Review Assessors in consultation with the PR Chair.

· Ensure Phase Reviews (where Gate Reviews are agreed) occur within 12 months of the last Phase Review.

· For Phase Reviews and Project Performance Reviews ensure the appropriate Project information is made available, including that learning from experience has been captured from this or similar Projects and is appropriately considered and applied.

Your skills and qualifications:

· Knowledge of the Combat Management System product base.

· Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices) and basic knowledge of other functions such as Commercial & Finance.

· Recognised as an experienced Project Management practitioner within the local & wider Business.

· Demonstrates good commercial practices & how it integrates within own project area.

· Developed communication and diplomacy skills. Able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders, sometimes at senior levels internally.

· University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry.

· Professional PM Qualification (APM or PMI as examples) or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management.

· Expect to be a qualified LCM Assessor or Chairperson.
