POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Sales Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Sales Senior Manager acts as the primary liaison between the company and its’ customers. Responsibilities include acquiring the necessary resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Sales Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Establish and maintain price schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Working with Directors and recommending a sales strategy to secure appropriate sales and profit levels.
• Seeking new customers matching the company's sales strategy.
• Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
• Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.
• Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products.
• Determine price schedules
• Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
• Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures.
• Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment to purchase.
• Achieve company and department business plans for Health and Safety Goals.
Education
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Two to four years of related sales experience
