Job Title: Maintenance Specialist
Job Description
The Maintenance Specialist will perform infrastructure maintenance activities across three facilities on Kauai Island, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Responsibilities include servicing and troubleshooting processing equipment, setting up and breaking down tents in the fields, and conducting building repairs. The Maintenance Specialist will also contribute to improvement projects and provide feedback to supervisors regarding specific problems encountered on the job site.
Responsibilities
Perform all tasks safely and follow instructions.
Attend work regularly and reliably, working overtime as scheduled or directed.
Perform all tasks associated with infrastructure maintenance, including plumbing repairs, changing light bulbs, painting, and wall mount installations.
Conduct maintenance and service on processing equipment, such as dryers, shellers, and processing lines.
Operate forklifts and company trucks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Communicate regularly and openly with the team and supervisors regarding issues affecting safety or quality.
Participate in work-related training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support other areas and activities as needed.Essential Skills
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of one to two years of relevant experience in maintenance is preferred.
Willing and able to work shift work, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Knowledge and experience operating a forklift.
Ability to use computers and smartphones.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suites: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively and safely.
Team player.
Must solve problems and make decisions in time-sensitive conditions.
Repeatedly required to stand and walk, working on feet for prolonged periods.
Tolerance and ability to work in outdoor tropical agriculture settings as well as indoor.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician.

Work Environment
The role involves working in both outdoor tropical agriculture settings and indoor environments. Employees must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions and should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. The work schedule may include shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends and holidays.

This is a Contract position based out of Waimea, Hawaii.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
