About Us
We are an American company providing specialist technical and operational support for Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) equipment. We have recently secured an Australian contract and are seeking a highly experienced Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) Equipment and Manufacturing Engineer to provide support to our client in the transition from development to high-volume manufacturing of next-generation UVC LED devices. This role will be based at our client's Brisbane site and will involve both hands-on equipment commissioning and strategic process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work with our client's equipment engineering team to review current processes and procedures, including both day to day running and scheduled preventative maintenance;
- Provide feedback and written recommendations on ways that current protocols could be improved;
- Provide advice and written recommendations on any additional items/procedures that will need to be implemented by the client for a production environment.
Candidate Profile
We require a candidate with:
- Extensive experience with MBE systems, particularly Veeco Gen200 - Proven expertise in MBE tool installation, maintenance, and production support - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams - Willingness to travel and work across multiple Australian sites
