Orthopedic Surgeon - Spine Medical Consultant: Remote

Maximus Federal is seeking a Orthopedic Surgeon to join the Medical Consultant panel to be an Expert Medical Reviewer to conduct medical judgment appeals.

Peer Review for Quality Management may only be used for improving the quality of healthcare or utilization of health care resources in VA medical facilities. Its primary focus is whether the clinical decisions and actions of a clinician during a specific clinical encounter met the standard of care.

Key Requirements:

Board-certified: Orthopedic Surgery for more than 5 years.

Direct Patient Care: Must be actively engaged in providing direct patient care for more than 20 hours a month.
