The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an Interventional Pulmonologist to join the Department of Internal Medicine in the Division of Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Description

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist to join a dynamic academic medical center at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor ranking. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced pulmonary care, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for a wide range of respiratory conditions. Opportunities to participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, along with research and interdisciplinary collaborations, are available. This position will be held on the main campus of the Wexner Medical Center.

Duties and Responsibilities

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary Medicine.

Successful completion of an Interventional Pulmonology fellowship program

Eligible for an Ohio License

Proven experience in performing a variety of interventional pulmonary procedures.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

Department/Division Overview

The Division of Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Sleep, led by Division Director Dr. Jeffrey Horowitz, boasts a broad array of clinical opportunities with sections of general pulmonary and critical care medicine, transplant pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonary medicine that are complemented by clinical, translational, and basic research, and substantial educational opportunities. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD), or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching and/or research. ?

Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focuses on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.?

Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.?
